When I read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, I formed the impression that Susanna Clarke wrote in the style of Trollope. After reading this collection of short stories, I've changed my mind. Normally I erase audiobooks from my storage box as soon as I have listened - this will be staying put right where it is as I can envisage me listening at least once again. Susanna Clarke is a right good write ... and this collection is at times extremely funny
