This was my absolute favorite movie when I was a wee one, and I know several people who love this book. That said, reading this book was a different experience than I expected. The movie is taken straight from the book, line by line, which made reading the book extremely surreal. I could hear the li...

Ah, beloved classic of many an SFF nerd’s childhood. Which I had never read before. And which, erm, I suspect must have been read in childhood to be properly appreciated. I didn’t dislike it, but it certainly didn’t have any real attraction for me. I think that if I had read it when I was younger, I...

would've gotten 5 stars if PSB wasn't so fucking attached to his traditional gender roles. i do love that she doesn't stay human for him though and that Lír doesn't get the girl in the end. it was a beautiful ending, and a bit sad, just how i like it. :))really well read by PSB though!

The Last Unicorn in graphic novel form is not nearly as moving as the original, but the art is gorgeous.

Eloquent and lyric as almost no other high fantasy I've read since maybe Tolkien, but without the loftiness that maybe smacks...

I was rather disappointed in this book. I found this on the Top 100 Fantasy Books of all time. WTH? This book was terrible. Okay maybe I shouldn't say terrible but it just didn't catch my attention. The unicorn as irritating and the magician was a jerk as was the king. I found most of the book to ...

Some warning : This is actually a dual review on the book and the movie. The Last Unicorn is a fantasy novel that began with a natural forest scene until a pair of hunter with their dog roamed through the woods intending to hunt. However, the older hunter felt an eerie feeling as soon as they entere...
