Enjoyed this one more than the first. The plot was more straightforward and I really liked all the bits with the wizards at the Unseen University. Pratchett is an imaginative writer, and the humour is quite clever at times. I can't say I'm entirely sold on Discworld just yet but I definitely see a l...
Ebook. Very entertaining. I was actually laughing out loud at multiple parts. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoyed The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. I will read more of this series whenever I am in the mood for something funny and entertaining.
I was a late convert to liking The Light Fantastic. Sure, the imagination and world-building prowess are mind-blowing. But the humor! A great dovetailing with The Color of Magic, and plenty of very funny little vignettes as Rincewind and Twoflower continue their travels of the Discworld. With the Luggage, of course. I still want a Luggage of my very own. Ahem. There's Death and his cronies over a game of bridge. Trolls. Cohen the ...
Rincewind & Twoflower were last seen disappearing off the edge of the world, but this world is not the usual kind and this proves no impediment to the story. Introduces a barbarian hero, deals with the birth of worlds and the importance of going home. This is one of the few books in the series that ...
