The Looking Glass Wars is a new take on the Lewis Carroll books Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. In this series princess Alyss is training and is destined to have the strongest imagination in the family. Imagination is how the people in Wonderland use to fight against bad guys lik...

In most of the imaginings of people, or whatever, doesn't the Mad Hatter and Alice end up in love or something? Well, if that's the way it's meant to be, then it makes since that in this book, the versions of these two characters should end up or something, right? Nope. Maybe I just misunderstand th...

Meh. I liked the ideas but the writing wasn't my thing. The author spells out everything for his readers and apparently doesn't trust that they have imagination of their own. For my full review, click here: http://sffbookreview.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/frank-beddor-the-looking-glass-wars/

this book was totally unsuccessful in getting me to care about anything or anyone in it. however, it earns two stars because i like how Beddor entwines his fantasy with Alice Liddell's real life.

The characters were interesting to read about, but for me, the setting really made the book. This setting is what happens when you combine Lewis Carroll's world and add a b...

It was really fun piecing together everything that was 'distorted' in the story, as well.I highly recommend this for people who like Gregory Maguire (Wicked, Confessions of an U...

Really thought it would've been better but I liked learning a bit of real history when I looked up Alice Liddel and her history with Prince Leopold and Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll).
