I read this for my library book group - so, for what it's worth, this is not the type of book I would necessarily choose to read. It was certainly painless - an easy read, nothing that made me feel that I couldn't bear to keep reading. But eminently forgettable. The characters were flat - the good ...

A simple basic plot with characters that do not have much things happening in life. A slow flow of events that keeps you waiting for more.

My Rating: 3.0 After reading The Last Song, but not quite understanding why everyone loves Nicholas Sparks, I decided to give reading The Lucky One a shot for two main reasons: the movie just recently (I think) came out (and I might watch it even though it features Zac Efron as the main character wh...

Nicholas Sparks has done it again. What a great book. It made me cry at the end thinking that someone had died but he didn't. A very happy ending. You need to all pick up this book and read it.

I know a number of the author's books have been made into movies and it really felt like this was written in that vain (yes I know there is now a movie out based on this book. However I felt I knew the ending from pretty much the beginning of the ...

It was intriguing enough to get me to keep reading. I thought the end was a bit abrupt. Kinda predictable, really sappy.

I'll admit I only read this book because I saw the trailer for the movie, which involves a very shirtless and good-looking Zac Efron. I should have stuck to my self-imposed ban on Nicholas Sparks books, though. After reading The Notebook (hated the book and movie), A Walk to Remember (amazing movie—...
