This is the first book in this series where Anita is really starting to bother me. Previously I liked her take charge attitude, but now her constant cold shoulder to everyone she is around is driving me crazy. I am bored with her blue nike swoosh and obsession with her guns. The previous books ha...

I just love Anita! I couldn't put this one down. It seems that each book gets a bit better! I have no idea who I want her to be with though. I love Richard and Jean-Claude. I can not wait for the next one.

The only thing I really have to note about this book is that it is becoming increasingly obvious that Anita has an enormous commitment/trust chip on her shoulder. This is my favorite Anita Blake novel, and one of the best werewolf novels I've ever read. The action is out of control and the characters are interesting. I'm a Richard fan, and he shines in this one.

The Lunatic Cafe is the turning point within the series and we begin to see how new relationships are formed and how old ones begin to disintegrate. As sparks turn into flames, the action is getting all more serious and so are the romances. To read my full review, click here
