Loved this book. Another great addition to the Anita Blake series. Can't wait to read the next one. :)

Now, that was an interesting ride. The book began with new characters who don't really make it to the next book sometimes. Its just really funny. Again, Anita did not get the time of day just to sleep. Its just amazing how much stuff she has to go through. Some events startled me in this one. I didn'...

It's been many years since I read the first three Anita Blake novels and I thought I'd pick the series up again. I remember liking the books, which is why I was a little surprised to discover I didn't find this one quite so enjoyable. Might be because I was still a teenager when I read 1-3 and I've ...

3.5-4 stars. In this book, Anita assists with the police to discover who is killing (and skinning) area shapeshifters. In addition, she learns that being involved with a werewolf is not like being with a human and Anita has to decide if she can handle the beast side of Richards. Of course Jean Cl...

Synopsis: And you don't fall in love with a werewolf. It interferes with your work. Especially when you're a preternatural expert, like me. My business brings me up close and personal with all shapes and sizes of monsters. And not ALL of them want to kill me. Take, for instance, the local pack of ly...

If I had to do this review in two words, it wouldn't be a challenge: Twilight Noir. Okay, it's historically inaccurate, since Stephenie Meyer stole the idea from Laurel K. Hamilton rather than vice versa, but apart from that it's close to the facts. We have the basic Twilight scenario: human woman i...

So far this one might be my favorite. Wasn't as weird as the other ones I guess. The story line is getting better, but I still don't like Jean Claude.

I liked this book a lot more then the past three, Anita wasn't as unbearable in this one. I did like the fact that Anita is finally going to give Jean-Claude a chance...I mean come on! Why the hell did it take her this long? Anyway, it's a pretty good book and if you liked the first three you'll enj...

This book begins where the previous left off so your best bet is to read these in order so you can figure out how these tangled relationships develop into the mess that becomes Anita’s love life. Anita, Animator of the Dead, is seriously dating Richard the werewolf and is beginning to realize the p...

This is my favourite Anita Blake story in the series. I liked it because of the character development. Anita changes in this book; she becomes more ruthless. The plot is fast paced and the supporting characters are entertaining.
