After I read this, I couldn't wait to read about the rest of the family. I did feel bad for Ian, because he had difficulty expresses himself, but he was the smartest one in that family.

Hmmmm..... so the narration is really bad. I started off listening to this when I was sick and had a fever and I didn't notice the bad narration. Maybe that says something about the storyline, that I was entertained enough to not notice the bad narration and it distracted me from being sick. But ...

I really enjoyed this one, and will promptly start the next... The MCs were great, and the story sweet. I did often wonder what was happening with our hero while the heroine was describing her time away from him, but not enough to take away from the story.

The author is an engaging storyteller who seamlessly weaves in meticulous details without bogging down or distracting the reader from the flow of the story. I LOVED this fabulously original romance with its truly unconventional hero and heroine!I'm well and truly hooked on the Mackenzies.
