I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I was going to.A little slow in getting started, but it got better as it went along.Very interesting premise to the story. Characters and story line are much more well developed in this one than in The Lake of Dreams. Really glad I read this book seco...

"Norah, on ima ...

This was an incredibly powerful story about choices. A story about lies and secrets and their consequences. It is not a light read. It is honest and heart-wrenching. I cannot say I "enjoyed" it but it held it's own special brand of magic. It was very well done.

The idea the author had for this book was great. I just didn't care for the direction some of the events took. It also felt unnecessarily dragged out.

Such an emotional ending! I cried at the end beacuse it was so beautiful.. A very powerful story, this is for everyone to read. A different kind of telling, about a different kind of life. Loved it!

I tried really really hard to like this book, I just couldn't. I thought that the whole idea the twins being separated, the one with Down Syndrome being sent away, and raised in two different families to be really fascinating. However once I started reading the book it just wasn't as intriguing as I...

This book is wonderful. THe only reason it took me so long to finish was that my daughter has been ill.

I picked up The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards after reading a review of what promised to be a very powerful book. That reviewer and I are going to have to agree to disagree.::: One Moment in Time :::The crux of The Memory Keeper's Daughter is one moment's decision that impacts how the live...

Although none of the characters were particularly likeable, I was interested enough in the story and wanted to find out how it wrapped up. Unfortunately for me, it wrapped up with the father's death. The author hadn't spent enough time developing the mother or brother to that point, so the last part...

Very different from what I had anticipated. I had expected some kind of suspense novel, but that was clearly not the case at all. Instead what I found was a very philosophical novel about how secrets and deceit - even from the best intentions - can build walls up between members in a family; walls t...
