2.5 starsThe setting of the story was unique and the take on 'afterlife' was refreshing. but that was just about it. I couldn't connect to Felicia, nor did I feel sympathy for her. Neither of the guys felt real either. Julian - the cliche bad boy (I had no idea why/how he fell in love with Felicia) ...

Since ARCs of this book started floating around I was dying to get my hands on this one. Every single person that read it seemed to have nothing but good things to say. All I heard everywhere was how fantastic it was and that made me nervous the closer it go to release date. I was scared that it may...

This is one of the most interesting premises I have ever encountered in fiction, and I was immediately drawn to the book when I heard about it. An afterlife of limbo, where memories are a currency and everyone blisses on recollections of their lives? How awesome, right?Level 2 is told from the point...

When I saw the summary for Level 2 back in early December, my reaction went something like this: “Yes! I have to have this ASAP! This is such a me book! Why has no one put this book in my hands yet? So, when is the release date? Still over a month away? How ever can I make it that long?”. As you mig...

Okay. I had super high hopes for this book and it was really not all that great. The one character I liked they....okay...not gonna go there. Felicia is just so stupid. -_-I didn't like how the book was set up with her plugging in all the time. All. The. Time. It felt like the author didn't know wha...

I realized going in this this was not my kind of book (about the afterlife and featuring extensive flashbacks) but ended up enjoying it more than I expected! Recommended for those who enjoy books with flashbacks and about memory and the afterlife. Full review here

Why hello you interestingly beautiful book. The thing about Level 2 that surprised me was that it was balanced somewhat between fantasy and sci-fi, mythology and religion. It was...impressive, yet odd at the same time. It seemed sci-fi because of the "hives" and the gases, the reason why these rebels...

First Thoughts: I wasn't sure what to excpect from this book. I thought the blurb sounded really ineresting, so I was excited when I recieved a copy in the mail for review. And Then: Sad to say, this book let me down in alot of ways. I didn't like the how the author used the memory chambe...

I was sceptical upon hearing that a fair chunk of this novel is reliving memories. Sounded like there isn't much going on in the present. But as an avid Family Guy viewer, I'm accustomed to cutaways.Knowing the author is a fan, and because of the setting based on beehives with drones, Tori Amos' "Th...

Stop by The Starry-Eyed Revue and enter for your chance to win a finished copy in the Bad Boy Rehab Hop!!!Books about the afterlife simply fascinate me. We all have our own perceptions of what comes after this life, and it's terribly interesting to me to dwell on the possibilities. With Level 2, w...
