Hmm. Zum Ende hin wurde es besser, irgendwie mochte ich das Buch. Aber der ganz große Fang, was ich eigentlich von Zusak erwartet hatte, war es nicht. Leider. Hmm.

The only thing I’ve ever read of Zusak is The Book Thief. This is much different and, I have to say, I didn’t like it nearly as well. It all seemed a bit self-conscious, which kept me out of the story and kept me from finding the resolution satisfying. [July 2011]

I really liked this book but I probably couldn't read it again because this was one of the books I had to study for English and now every time I would go to read the book again I would sit there and analyse it and not enjoy the book :( Even writing about it now has made me think of the annotations I...

I liked the setup of the chapters and how the handwriting was tied in. The humor made it a great read but I felt that the intertwined love story was too forced. The book comes complete full circle and doesn't leave much to the wandering mind. Either way, it was an entertaining read.

Ed's interaction with his Rottweiler, the Doorman was well portrayed, and funny to boot. The plot was imaginative and heartwarming. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Writing ...

And while I am the Messenger is not the same genre as the former, it is just as good as (and at certain points better than) the former. Each w...

Then one day while waiting in line at the bank with his friends, a robbery takes place and Ed inadvertently stops it. He’s proclaimed a hero by the media and fellow ...
