Not often I'm beaten by a book, but I'm giving up on this one. Just can't get into it or muster any interest in the characters. Life is too short to read uninteresting books.

I read this a long, long time ago and don't remember how much I liked it. Time for a revisit?

Synopsis:The magical legend of King Arthur is vividly retold through the eyes and lives of the women who wielded power from behind the throne. I could have written much more but there is really no point of it. I bet you have heard about King Arthur, his unfaithful but beautiful wife, Gwenhyfar, h...

I like it that the author did not offer simple moral judgments or painted one side as saints & the other as evil. Instead, she wrote complicated characters and lots of conflicts inside different fractions as well as between what people preach, what people believe and what people do, and raised more ...
