A handful of the stories pull down the cumulative weight of the entire collection - but man, stories like "The Small Assassin" and "The Crowd" and "Jack-in-the-Box" and "The Wind" are creepy and definitely unsettling in just the right way. It's the classic October author's classic story collection....
