Yumminess. Even though the book was about Hadley, I learned a lot about Hemingway. I liked Hadley alot and felt sad about Hemingway. Saddened by his depressionand his losses. This was well written and kept me engrossed throughout.Post script. This sent me on a search for books about the left ban...
Stating the obvious here, but Hemingway is an ass. And I'm thinking that spending 6 hours yesterday inhaling for book club tomorrow wasn't my smartest decision. As a result, everything is muddled up in my brain right now.So Hemingway married an older woman, and then enjoy several blissful years toget...

Ernest Hemingway's First Wife Tells AllThe movie Midnight in Paris showcased the ex-pat writers in 1920's Paris: Ernest Hemingway, Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Their stories are enthralling. As Mary Chapin Carpenter says, "After nearly a century, there is a reason that the Lo...

This carefully-researched historical fiction novel tells the story of the romance and marriage between Ernest Hemingway and his first wife, Hadley Richardson, via Hadley's voice.I am a fan of Hemingway's writing, especially his short sto...

This fictional book covers the real-life marriage between Ernest Hemingway and his first wife Hadley. This book was well w...
I couldn't connect with Hadley. She was the type of person that I never want to be. She didn't do anything with her life, she didn't have a job or any purpose in life. She was only a wife and a mother. Let's not forget how she couldn't even leave Ernest. It took her some time to realize that they ju...
