Maybe, this book doesn't deserve 4 stars, but since I enjoyed it a lot, and whenever I picked it up,it was hard to put it down.I gave it 4 stars! It isn't as good as the the first book, but as much entertaining.A good sequel to The City of Ember. It was great to follow the adventures of Lina and Doon.

Book 2 in the series. The people from the City of Ember have emerged into the world of light and are faced with a whole new set of problems. Will the people of sparks be able to accept and help them or will fear and misunderstanding send them into a new war.
