I have had friends in the past tell me to read this book because it is "really good". I really can not describe this work as really good. It is hardly even thought provoking. The writing is not great, and being epistolary it is hard to even decipher whether the "writer" is telling the truth or not. ...

The first time I read this, I don't think I really appreciated this novel. After seeing the movie, I have an urge to re-read the book because I feel like I will enjoy it so much more.
