Ooh, I loved this book and I hated it. I got it off of my TBR knowing that I wanted it so I forgot to double check the synopsis and was not expecting a series of short stories in place of a novel. Some of the stories were based on other things she had written, like “The Coldest Girl in Coldtown” and...
I did quite enjoy two of the short stories featured in this book, and thought that they could make great novels using the plot of the stories. Other than that, I didn't enjoy this book all that much, I found my self having trouble concentrating on reading after about a hundred pages in. Most of the ...
Meh. My first book from Holly Black should not have been a short story. They never really stay with you. So yeah, some of them were alright, some of the main characters (especially that 1st story) were annoying whiners, and some stories were pretty good. The best one was probably the characters comi...

Thi...

For some reason the description of Coldtown made me think more of a concentration camp than anything ...
