Of course, I thought I'd be different and actually enjoy this book since I really enjoyed the movie. But, no. What a train wreck! The first half was great; I'd give it 4.5 stars. A post-apocalyptic wandering bard finds a postman's outfit and begins delivering the mail, hope, and unity to the scatter...
This book could have been so much better. The end was a major anti-climax for me. Otherwise I enjoyed the first 2/3rd of the book immensely. The concept is unique (which the movie missed entirely).
One of the best books ever, one of the worst movies ever. Don't waste your time at the theater. Buy this book and read it many times for pure pleasure.
