This book was a fast but very good read. I loved the writing style especially in the language and how everything was worded. The only downfall is that, being a fast read, it did not stick in my memory as other books do.

This is a book that I have not thought about in years, until I saw the previews for its upcoming moving. I honestly tried to put it out of my mind and was shock to see it turned into a movie. This story is disconcerting, to say the least, and yet still captivating. I remember when I finished it ...

I don't know what it is exactly that I expected from this book, but let's just say that it was something.. well.. more than this. Though I have no special reason for it, I always dislike reading about World War II. I guess it's my living in Holland and it all being a bit too close for comfort. I kno...

This book is so sad and, at same time, so pretty. Isn't only a historical romance, but also a tale of human nature. I'm specially fond of books that tells the history of WWII on the German side and show all the guilt and pain of the next generations when dealing with the Nazism. In certain way, this...

I wanted to like this book more than I did. It's well written, and the description indicated to me a good foundation for a story. The description implies that the reader will wrestle with some interesting moral dilemmas. In particular a secret the protagonist's lover, Hanna, considers more shameful th...

This book was so depressing, yet so good. I believe I read it very quickly because it sucked me in very quickly. I actually preferred this to the movie which I thought was very well done.

This book...I just don't understand what all the hype was about!Yes, it took place during the WWII aftermath and mayhem, but it was not the love story that I thought it was suppose to be. I wonder if the movie was better?...Anyway, this whole thing about Hanna being an illerate Nazi guard for the wo...

I had heard a lot about this book. And no, it was not because of Oprah. So I decided to give it a shot. And I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I liked the first half of the book much better, though. I guess I'm a sucker for scandal. Oh, and the movie is amazing! Be sure to see it. It may even surpa...
