Amanda met her husband Nicholas while they were in high school. They shared a passionate few months together before they got pregnant with their first child. Now ten years later Amanda and Nick are in an unhappy marriage, that is about to come crumbling down. On what seemed like a normal morning, Amanda came across evidence that her husband was having an affair with his, "one that got away", Georgia. When Amanda confronted her cheating husband a fight ensues. The next morning they wake up together in a bed that wasn't theirs. They wake up together in Nick's childhood bedroom ten years in the past. Ten years before the affair, ten years before the marriage, and ten years before the children. Amanda thinks of this as a second chance for her husband to be happy and live the life he thought he wanted.

Although it is a second chance for Amanda's husband, it is one for Amanda as well. She finds it hard to be without her children, and fit into a life as a seventeen year old. That is until Amanda's ex-boyfriend Jordan comes back into her life. Just starting off as friends while doing a school project together, it quickly turns to more when Jordan kisses her in front of everyone they know. With Amanda and Nick clearly both moving on, life re-complicates it's self when the separated couple spend their daughter's birthday together. They spent the day celebrating the life of a family that no longer existed, and realizing just how much they missed and loved one another. But was it too late? Was there too much hurt and trust lost? Could they find their way back to each other, or will they choose to live out their second chances apart?
