At first, I was quite reluctant to read this, since on the day I picked up this book, I was going to Barnes and Noble. But I couldn't stand it without reading a book for the morning. So I picked it up. I'm just gonna say that this is my first Rick Riordan book and I didn't even know that I had to pr...

JUST W.O.W Read the audiobook while reading. Carter and Sadie's adventure sure did wonders for me.Okaaay.. so it's not really my first time reading this type of book (i mean for a younger age group). I started reading novels with Children of the Alps actually (not to compare with this book, of cours...

I had been putting this off for a while. I didn't know if it would be quite as good as the Percy Jackson series, but its possible I might like this one more!I just love Carter and Sadie! Definitely a great start to the series and I can't wait to get the next book.

I'm not really aware of the presence of this book on the bookstores but a certain classmate of mine suggests it to me and i wonder why not give it a try?! While, I enjoyed this one, it is pretty much Percy Jackson with Egyptian Gods and quests. Not a bad book though. I think I liked the Percy Jackson series better though.

Rick Riordan has clearly found a winning formula, and if it ain't broke, he ain't gonna fix nothing. Having successfully sold millions in a series based on Greek mythology, he gleefully takes on Egyptian myth in his new series, this time with two new, young protagonists, siblings Carter and Sadie Ka...

Riordan takes the readers on a fun, mythology-filled adventure as always, but I think I'm just not as interested in Egyptian mythology as I am in Greek/Roman. Also, the book is told from the points of view of two siblings, and the more I read the more the sister's wisecracks annoy me. Just gonna sti...

Riordan has done it again, and I'm very happy he has. This book (and series) has the same premise as the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series, there are gods from ancient cultures who need the help of 'godlings' to protect the world and their way of life. It's different enough that it provides...

this may be the longest time it's ever taken me to read a book. It was an audiobook. Usually I have those on hand to help me sleep, I listen at night, and fall asleep halfway through. Usually that works better with books I've read. This was a new story. So I fell asleep midstream quite a few times, s...
