I was not disappointed this book was great. In fact it had me laughing more then the first one did. Adams outdid himself with the wonderful details that throw you for a loop
This book was funnier than the first, but I still had trouble getting through it. The part involving the cow at the restaurant was genius, and though Marvin wasn't around as much, Ford really grew on me.

There is a sharp falling off from the originality of Hitchhiker's to its sequels, but Restaurant is quite funny and clever. It is the only one of the sequels worth reading IMHO.
