3.5 stars rounded up because the pace is spot-on and the prose is inspired (there are nice quotable passages). However, I think this conclusion doesn't live up to the first book's promise: surely the author has polished her skills, and that much is evident from the writing and the deepened relations...
It's over????? I can't believe that this was a two book run and done. I enjoyed the characters, the eastern cultures and the story line so much that I wanted this story to go longer! This is a future reread for me.
