This was a sweet, comforting and soothing story about closure and new beginnings. Max was a wonderful friend and a considerate lover, Max's family was so great, and Darren went through such an amazing growth - a story very fitting for the holidays.
4.5 stars. Very good m/m holiday romance about a guy whose boyfriend died four years ago and who's basically retreated from the world since then, until a friend drags him along to a family Thanksgiving celebration.
The summary on GR is good enough to explain. I think the story is beautiful; a combination of angst, seeing your friend in different way, and letting go.
