I loved pieces of this but it was an unsteady story.

Miranda has always known that she is different, at age ten she knew that she would never be a classically beautiful woman and by age twenty she knew that she would never be the darling of the ton. While Miranda has not resigned herself to being a spinster she has trouble visualizing a future because...

The problem with this one is that he apparently is an asshole. To forgive I need to feel the love. As a reader that doesn't happen often. And even if it does.. I'm resentful. I hold a grudge. Another sweet and charming novel by Julia Quinn. Be warned that at moments you want to kill her and at moments you want to kill him! But ultimately I think it's very good! Both characters are quite endearing!

A sweet story. Really enjoyable read, interesting characters, especially Turner and the delightful Miranda.

That was the day that Miranda realized she would never be close to the "standard" of beauty in Regency England -- cruelly brought home by Fiona, a gue...

Not my favorite Julia Quinn but even a bad JQ is full of witty dialogue and fun characters. I loved Miranda and loved seeing Olivia (I read her book first) but I didn't love Turner. Yes, he had reason to be broody but it got to be too much for me. He needed Cher to slap him and yell "snap out of ...
