Ted Bundy was one of the US's most notorious serial killers. First arrested in 1975, he managed to escape from law enforcement authorities twice, before his final arrest in 1978. It would take another eleven years before he was eventually executed.
Bundy was a killer who could function well in society much of the time, and many people who were close to Bundy were at first simply unable to believe he was respsonsible for the horific crimes on his charge sheet. He was simply too considerate, too charming, too affable and perhaps too good looking to be capable of such depravity.
Most frightening of all, when Bundy was asked why he did what he did, and why he killed so many innocent women, his response was simply that he enjoyed it.
The Serial Killers series lifts the lid on some of the world's most notorious serial killers and criminals. The narrative outlines the crimes of the killer, exploring the motives and impulses which led the perpetrator to commit their crimes.
