To which you have the greater purpose to this book. The Sheepdog is designed to prompt a grassroots movement to counter the predatory nature that exists within our society that includes mass shootings, child pedophiles, and violent criminals. Everything happens for a reason. After experiencing a series of horrific events one of the characters develops a modern version of the “neighborhood watch program.” After all a sheepdog protects the helpless sheep from predators. Likewise, the reader in turn will be encouraged to participate in the same initiative. ---In the final chapter readers are instructed to put a picture/sticker of a sheepdog on the back window of their car or the front window of their home. ---By doing so, the participant indicates that they are “a sheepdog,” i.e. someone who would act to protect someone who is being preyed upon or try to stop someone who has evil intentions. This does not necessarily mean they would do so physically. Rather the sticker of the sheepdog indicates that the person would call the police, take a picture or a video of a criminal act, record a criminal’s license plate, etc.---Anyone putting a sheepdog sticker on their car would also be instructed to indicate on social media or local print media that they are a member of the sheepdog initiative and what it means. By participtating it notifies the public, and by default, predators, that there is an initiative that is designed to prevent child predators, criminals, murders, etc. from their criminal activity. ---Finally, participants and readers would be instructed to record any episode where they acted as a sheepdog on the website created for this book. Specifically, if they viewed something suspicious or prevented a criminal activity from taking place they would record the episode on social media in order to deter predators who stalk their victims on line. Hence this is a horror series with a greater purpose.
