Quite good adventure tale and mystery set in London and India. The story is more about the background of the mystery rather than about getting to know much more about Sherlock Holmes or Dr. Watson, but it was well told.
The Sign of The Four will be used in the third series of BBC Sherlock as The Sign of Three. I'm quite thrilled that for once I have read the book before they used it, and I will be able to look for everything they used form the book. This is the fourth Sherlock book I've read and my least favourite so far. The plot is getting a little repetitive, which I guess these books are, but the mystery in this story wasn't so great. Plus Watson was irritating. Don't get me wrong, it's still good writing, just not my favourite.
