Quite a bunch of twists and turns. Even me, predicting where a book could go, was surprised at the twists. Spoilers--so angry to find out Riley was the offspring of a rapist. So good to see her be a counselor and have good come out of it.
So, I figured out the entire plot of The Silent Sister by the end of the first chapter. This is a book that spends all of part 1 building up to a big reveal that was given away in the prologue, so it's not exactly written by a master of suspense. It is a while since I read anything by Diane Chamberlain and this book has made me want to go ahead and read more. It is a complex family story of deception and secrets and a really satisfying and enjoyable read.
