I really enjoyed this. I think it was my favorite of the 500 Kingdoms books yet. Nice twists on a variety of fairy tales thrown in, a princess who was smart and sensible, a suitor who respected her and thought the best gift he could give her was lessons in self defense..........

Lily is fairy Godmother to the kingdom of Eltaria. The kingdom needs to be carefully watched, and Lily's job as Godmother is to make sure the Tradition goes in the favour of the rulers and inhabitants of the country.
