I read this book, and series, MULTIPLE times in the early 90's. This was even among my favorite series, at that time. BUT, that was also when there was "A Trilogy" printed on the books. And they WERE a trilogy, actually written by L.J. Smith. Adored them, my little budding hormonal body could no...
When I finished The Awakening, the first part of this series, I thought the book had a severe case of First-Book-In-Series-Disease. All the symptoms for FBISD were there; there is a lot of getting to know each other going on, the plot is rather weak, the whole mission of the book is us getting to kn...
This second book of the Vampire Diaries series picks up exactly where the first book ended. Stefan is missing, and Elena confronts Damon by her choosing. We see a lot more of Damon in this books and he gets close to classmates and family members, drawing ever closer to her. Bonnie's abilities get...
I want my YA goggles back! Iwant my YA heroines to be strong and independent. I want my heroes not to be creepy. What ever happened to strong and independent heroines/heroes? Why on earth has this story come to revolve around a murderous set... and I don't mean the vampires!I really don't like the h...

The Struggle (The Vampire Diaries, #2)In book two of the Vampire Diaries Elena Gilbert quickly realizes that the only thing more dangerous that being in love with a vampire is being desired by two. As Stefan struggles to suppress his instinctive thirst, Damon persists in his quest for Elena′s heart....
Once again it's nothing special, at least not to me. It's fairly interesting and it can keep your attention as long as you like or semi enjoy a little drama (or if all you care about is attractive vampires...). I'll continue to the next two, and maybe the second half of the series but it'll only be ...
A big improvement on the first book!I really loved how the characters developed and especially how Elena started getting more enduring! What a ending and how I love the road the story is going on!Will definitely read the next one!
This is finally getting better! The end made me really need to know what happens next. And I think I finally heard the word 'vampire' for the first time! I kind of like how she tip-toed around that, even though it's called Vampire Diaries.
