For the full review, please visit Thoughts and PensCompared to The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife is tamer in terms of battle and gory scenes but nevertheless a stunning momentum to unravel the climax of the whole story (which I hope would be magnificently delivered in the third book). I reviewed His Dark Materials as a series, so you can read my non-spoiler review here. I gave the overall series 4 stars.AudiobookI listened to the audiobook version of the entire series and quite enjoyed them. The book is narrated by author Philip Pullman and a full cast and was very well done. The...
There's less action and a hell of a lot more story-meat in this book. I'm enjoying it immensely, especially for all of the John Milton tones. It also has a beautiful synthesis of anthropology and religion that I can't help but giggle at.

I will definitely read the last one soon. Phillip Pullman is an exceptional writer, and I can tell alot of thoug...
