As the eyes of Ben the campsite warden met those of the girl wearing the Save the Hedgehog T-shirt, an electric force that was almost tangible disturbed the calm of the forest clearing. But for reasons he feels unable to disclose, Ben cannot allow Illona to get physically close to him. Puzzled and disappointed, Illona hopes that one day she will learn Ben’s secret, and that he will at last feel able to acknowledge his love for her. The advent of a well-meaning godfather and a jealous one-time best friend complicates an already complicated situation. Thus, against the backdrop of the forest in autumn, the story of frustration and apparently hopeless love unfolds.
