And how does a routine fix-it ticket end in the near-death revelation that he has a son?The PSF short stories are a series set in the same world, some connected, some not.  There will be those that take place far in the past, those in the distant future, and others that take place all within a short span of time.  The world will remain constant, some of the characters will appear in other stories, but they will always be the same people, regardless of time period.
