I really enjoyed how Stephen Baxter was able to carry HG Wells voice through this novel. Interestingly, however, my favorite character was Nebogipfel, the Moorlock from the second timeline.
Taking on the task of writing a sequel to H.G. Wells’ classic The Time Machine is a beautifully written and fairly straight forward sci-fi adventure. If you liked HG Wells original....then give it a go. I only gave it 3 stars, but I enjoyed it. It did drag on a bit, but I was rewarded for my patience.It is different, but good. I won't read it again, however.
