Loved the story right up to the end. The last few chapters just didn't seem as tight as the rest of the book. I believe I read somewhere that this book will be re-released in 2012 with a re-write. (Good - the story itself deserves the extra effort by Ms. Hilburn.)And I can see the Vampire Shrink ...

Before I start on the review, here is my heartfelt plea to Quercus!Guys, honestly, the cover is atrocious - fake blood and peroxide-burnt hair? What were you thinking?!! It hurt my eyes. This is how you imagined delicious Devereux with his lustrous long hair the colour of moonlight? Like Curt Cobain...

I'm honestly surprised by the number of people on GR that rated this 5 stars. While I found it a decent read at the start, it quickly lost coherence, and the vampire worldview was barely drawn in a consistent way. At first I found the heroine very likeable, a retiring, sensitive psychologist who h...

Not exactly what I hoped for. This book has an interesting premise: a rational psychologist who is introduced to an unknown world of vampires by a new client, but unfortunately lacks the substance to meet its potential. The main character, Kismet, is annoyingly in denial for half of the book, even w...

I dont really know how to review this one..I really liked it, and then I really didnt.. There were some chapters that just felt like "wasting time and pages" and then there was way too much describing.. But I guess some people like to know what a room looks like, right down to the color of the floor...

It's so hard to say something about this book but I'll try.First thing... for 80 pages this book was sooooo boring , but I insist... and I glad I go on and finished.Devereux (the main male character) is really interesting... you will discover a little about him (and when I said "a little" I'm sayin...

I love this book. it’s a mix between PNR and UF, so you get a little of both worlds. There is no HEA in this one. If you like a book where a woman is torn between two loves and you like to read about vampires fighting with fangs out and blood everywhere, teleporting in on you when your not expecting...

This was really pretty cheesy, but fun nevertheless! Hot blonde vampire and beautiful but insecure psychologist hookup in Denver, of all places. Bad vamps killing people, good vamp (aforementioned hot blonde vampire) looking out for all humanity. He travels through time and between dimensions, al...

Overall, I really enjoyed this novel and I can guarantee that I’ll be at the bookstore when the sequel, Dark Harvest, comes out in October. I’ll be interested in seeing how Kismet copes with knowing there are vampires and she’s now a part of their world. She really only accepts them at the end, so w...

“My Involvement with vampires began innocently enough.” This is the first sentence of Kismet’s story and it speaks volumes.Dr. Kismet Knight is a psychologist in private practice working in Denver, Colorado. At the opening of the book she meets a new young patient “Midnight”, who dresses ‘goth’ and ...
