I watched the series first and was afraid that would color my rating but it didn't. Some characters die earlier than in the TV series or not at all, a very surprising romance that isn't dealt with at all on TV and new characters that I wish would have been added to the TV series but basically the s...

Loved this! I fell in love with the Walking Dead tv show during season two. Even though I watched all of season one later, I still felt like there was so much I didn't know. Trying to following along on twitter was almost impossible since there were fans of the show AND fans of the books and they ...

10% zombies, 90% survival story. I avoided this for a long time because I'm so burnt out on the zombie genre but this is a brilliant piece of storytelling. I read this in one sitting. Its a major page-turner and I can't get my hands on the rest of the series fast enough.

I’m starting to get a little antsy in anticipation of the return of The Walking Dead to AMC (according to their website season 2 should be starting back up on October 16th, yay!). So to hold me over until then, I figured I’d read the graphic novel series on which it’s based. I was really surprised h...

I know, I know, it's sacrilege. I just don't dig comic books. They rarely manage to make me care about the characters. I loved the artwork, but i'd like to have it on my wall, rather than in a book. If it's any consolation, I don't love the Walking Dead series either. The zombies are fantastic, but ...

After all the hype surrounding this series, I came to it with my expectations maybe a bit too high. Post-apocalyptic stories about zombies have been done before, so I wasn't expecting an incredibly original story, but I was hoping for some good character development and a solid storyline. Did this...

The hardest part of reading this first volume was not comparing it too much to the television series. The series really did change a lot of details along the way, even as it preserved "the basic" feel of the comics. I was glad to have read the comic and get a sense; it is usually better to read the ...

I read this before the tv series came out and really enjoyed it! There are some differences to the comic then the tv show. Some characters that live in the Tv show die in the comic. The fact that some don’t survive in the comic seemed more life like then what happens on Tv. Being that is a horro...

This is a really promising start to a series although the whole waking up in the hospital after everything has gone to hell is pretty cliche at this point. Plus, there's no way he survived unattended for three weeks. No one would be there to change the IV and keep him hydrated. At times it was a l...
