After growing up watching the film and the other adaptations I was excited to finally read/listen to the actual book. It was a lovely story and quite different from the film. It gets off to quite a quick start and moves along at a good pace throughout. Many scenes took place in a different order or ...

Disclaimer: I got this audio book for free via Audible. This review is more about the performance of Anne Hathaway as opposed to the book itself. I have to admit that my opinion of Hathaway has been along the lines of a shrug of the shoulders. She’s beautiful, and she can act, ...

I never read this in childhood, but I loved the Judy Garland film as a child. The book is a charmer, worth reading even if you've seen the film countless times. There are quite a few differences. For one the illustrations suggest a very young Dorothy--about six or so--not sixteen like Judy Garland i...

Oh what fun this was. Sometime to go back and enjoy pure imagination for the sake of it.I don't want to dissect it for any meanings or deep intended meaning.. I just wanted to enjoy and that is what I got.

Wonderful story, full of magic and nice characters. The way the author names the characters: the Lion, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, is so similar to the Narnia´s books, and the feeling is also alike.I had the children´s edition when I was younger, and it was one of my favorites books (the drawing...
