Not sure that this review is entirely accurate, given that I read this in the 80s as a child, and my memories of it are all entwined with the film. I think I enjoyed it a lot, but very little of it has stayed with me. I should really re-read it at some point.

I remember really liking this one the first time I read it (which was probably about 10 years ago or so), but didn't think too much of it this time. MUCH to slow-moving and didn't seem to have much of a point.
