This book is actually written by Portugese author Jose Saramago (NOT Giovanni Pontiero who is the translator). I cannot seem to edit and correct this. Anyway, it is one of the best books I've ever read (15 years ago)- but I am not sure I would read it now.

Another great novel by Saramago, although I found it tougher to immerse myself in compared to two previous novels of his. Saramago is a philosophical writer, so plot plays a role, but really in terms of providing a vehicle for Saramago's ideas. His political leanings are used in the book, but the fo...

O Ano da Morte de Ricardo Reis, tudo gira à volta de Fernando Pessoa e dos seus heterónimos. Saramago tem uma escrita difícil, complexa mas gostei bastante.
