I never give 3 *; I either like them or I don't, but this one gets 3 because I'm caught in the middle. Interesting perspective from a newly released inmate to her halfway house and the group sessions and interactions of the house residents; wish there had been more about that. Good teasing insight i...

RATING: 4.5These Things Hidden is a very appropriate title for this novel, as the story features a tangled web of mysteries that influence lives in a dramatic way. This book is an intense, emotional read, showing how keeping mysteries and harbouring guilt can lead to a dramatic and even tragic clima...

I am really split on this book. The story line was really, really good. Plus, an excellent mystery. I though a couple of things were implausible, but it didn't detract too much from my view of the book. 3.5-4 stars.

I think this book will haunt me for some time.At first, I had a hard time getting into the story. It switches point of view constantly and therefore I didn't connect to the characters like I would have wanted to. After finishing it, I totally get why the author did this, but at the time it was a bit...

I was instantly intrigued by the summary of These Things Hidden. How many YA books deal with a teen who just got out of prison? At its core, These Things Hidden is a well plotted story that deals with challenging issues. However, some of its finer points didn’t quite work for me.The narration is ...
