Hands down the best of this series so far. Winter is an an excellent hero; strong, silent, dry-witted and steadfast. Plus he is dead sexy, AND a virgin (are you stunned? I was!). Isabel is an amazing heroine. Smart, generous, sweet and very no nonsense but in a good way. I think that I have an affin...
Okay,I didn't read the first 3 books of Maiden Lane, even though many had been gushing about Mickey, because I'm not THAT attracted to pirate. The historical romance is often about reformed rake, which I'm getting bored at. So what drew me to 'Thief of Shadows' is because Winter Makepeace is not a r...
My Rating: 3.0 When we readers first meet Winter in Wicked Intentions, I can sum him up with two words: reliable and hard-working. However, when I first read Thief of Shadows, I was shocked.
Good heavens do I love this story. The first sex scene between this hero and heroine just about scorched the pages it was written on. I did find the ending a little bit odd (as the hero's change from austere zealot devoted to his work to happy, retired husband) didn't ring particularly true.
