This one is definitely my favorite of the series so far. I enjoyed the first two but found that the humor could be jarring at times. Despite the vein of humor that runs throughout there are some pretty serious story lines here, involving child abuse, domestic violence and betrayal by loved ones. ...

You who have read this series know what I am gonna say, and sighing while doing so...Reyes Reyes Ray'ziel. Yes, oh did other things happen too? I did not notice ;)This book was just awesome, funny, it had me giggling, and totally swoonworthy as it had me melting into puddles. The reason for that? Re...

I'd actually fudge a bit over 4♥'s on this book. I LOVE the humor, adore it, but I wasn't on board so much with the Reyes fan club. Well, this book finally starts to lead Charley towards my thinking which made me happy as a clam.It was a little slower going getting into the story at first. It see...

4.5 starsI ♥ Charley, I really do. The comments she makes in a sleep deprived state are absolutely hilarious (purple elephants in the ceiling? check). There are a lot of twists and turns in this one, with characters certainly out to eliminate Charley. The mystery included was good and kept you guess...

I was close to giving this 5 stars but Reyes, sexy Reyes, pisses me off!! As usual this was laugh out loud funny in some parts and such a quick read. There were some parts that made me sad for Charley. She's witty and quirky. I just wish I knew what the deal with Reyes is because he keeps disappoint...

4.5/5I think Darynda Jones' books get better and better with each new one. They definitely get darker and much more gripping even if Charley Davidson started as light urban fantasy series. Sure, there is still lots of laughter, but the stakes are higher and a lot of people close to Charley get hurt...

This review also posted at A Bookish CompulsionAfter going positively gaga for the first two books in this series I was surprised that I had so much trouble getting through this one. While Charley still had her trademark wit and the plot was just as who-done-it as the first two, I was thrown by the...

A rollercoaster of reaper-ish fun, lots of coffee and a trail of dead bodies leading to yet another culprit. It's like everyone just wants to get on Charley's bad side!
