I just joined Booklikes today. I'm looking forward to interacting with all the other booklovers here. I'm an author getting ready to publish my debut novel, The Descendant of Destiny, on June 4th. And I'm a reader and book review blogger with over 50 book reviews on my blog. I read Literary Fiction, Fantasy & Science Fiction, Mystery, and Christian Fiction.

Welcome--and congratulations! There are many indie writers here as well (along with traditional ones, too). Do you know about the Fantasy Sci-Fi network on FB? Many writers here also support each other there, and help promote one another's books, web pages, etc. I can get you an invitation to join if you're interested.
What is your book about? And what is your blog address? Good luck on the impending book launch--I'm sure some of us can help.
Thanks for the kind words, Dog-Eared Pages. I did not know about the Fantasy-Sci Fi Network on FB. I would like an invitation. Here's the back cover blurb of my novel:
What is Destiny?
Is destiny something to be shaped by your own hands?
Is destiny something to be shaped by other people?
Or is there a higher power that ultimately shapes our destiny?
This is the journey that Diondray Azur of Charlesville will discover when he finds out the existence of a book called The Book of Kammbi. The book reveals an ancient prophecy that needs to be fulfilled by a descendant of Oscar Ortega, one of the land of Kammbia’s greatest men. All signs point to Diondray being the one who will fulfill this prophecy. However, he does not believe in the prophecy and thus begins the journey towards his destiny.
It is first of a trilogy and takes place in the fictional world of Kammbia.
Here's my blog: http://kammbia1.wordpress.com/ It will be converted into my website in the next week. But you can still check it out.
Here's my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Kammbia
Thanks!

Nice blurb! I love anything that asks questions about free will/fate, and whether or not man has any true role in shaping his life. I'll look forward to reading the book to see what answers you come up with. I'll get you invited to the network and will friend you on FB as well to get that started.
Are you going to self publish or are you going through a small press? If the former, I can help you if you have any questions, since I went through the process last year, and am publishing my second book this summer.
Did you know you can do book giveaways on Booklikes? Just go to "Giveaways" and click on "create a giveaway" to get started. You can do either a physical book and/or an e-book (Goodreads, for example, only lets you do physical books). The benefit to these is that you get people aware of your book, and even though you give X number away, they usually read and review them on Booklikes, Amazon, B & N, etc. That's how I got my first reviews. You can decide how many books you want to give away, anywhere from 1 to 100. You might not want to do this, but it's a nice service to consider that Booklikes offers.
I'll contact you soon about the group. Good luck and let me know if I can help--and I'm sure others will be forthcoming with help, too.
Hey Kammbia! Thank you for joining us! I am happy to see the above regarding your invitation to the FB group. I likely will see you there as well.
Keep us posted on your status!
Btw, there is also a page to promote your giveaways and promotions--whether done here on BookLikes or elsewhere--in this group.
Patricia and Dog-Eared Pages,
I have done "giveaways" here on Booklikes, Goodreads, and LT. The book was published in June and hopefully I will start getting some reviews soon.
Also, I wanted to ask about the Fantasy-Sci Fi Network on FB? Is that the official name of the group?
Thanks!
