Outlander - Diana Gabaldon
Reading start: 2015-11-01
Reading finish: 2015-11-30
Would anyone like to join me in reading Outlander by Diana GABA,don during the month of November? It's set in England after the war with a strong female protagonist. Time travel is involved, going back to the old castles.

Any other books you suggest instead or in addition are welcome - please list here.

Welcome newest members - we are now 1/2 a dozen! Happy reading.

This is still a new group and there hasn't been much discussion, but I have hope 2016 will be an active year.

I finished reading the first Outlander book of the series. You can catch my review. I was happy to receive the next 5 books in the series for Christmas presents. I am now reading book 2 "Dragonfly In Amber"

One thing about the series is the length of the books - they are intimidating in size, until you realize that the reading goes fast. The author adds a lot of detail that your eye can roam over. It adds to the full feel of the experience, and it's definitely worth the wait because her plot is stuffed with surprises. I wonder how much of a real supernatural tale this is, because it reads more historical fiction. The time travel experiences through the realm of the stones seems treated more like a device - Any thoughts on this?

Has anyone else read any of the Outlander books? Has anyone watched the series on TV?
