I'll pass on the Brayden but will finish this one up and probably get back to Missing, Presumed. Unless something else looks really good to you.
Brayden is just an easy beach read to get past the ickyness of the last book.
Easy beach reads are necessary while reading these other ones!
Jesus. I'm going to need something extremely lighthearted after this. I'm at the (hide spoiler) raid on the safe house and they just found the little boy.(show spoiler)
Ok, I'm done. I don't know if I want to read any more of this series. I just don't like the characters enough to go through another case. But I may change my mind depending on how long we wait and what the case is about...

I just found so much of this story horrific. Hence the quick light hearted beach read.
Some of it hit really close to home. I don't actively avoid books with child abuse or child sexual abuse but I think the combination of my dislike for the characters and Slaughter's overly graphic style - along with the sexism and homophobia - just made it much less enjoyable.

Maybe we should have started with the fourth book in like Cari did...
