It's an anime fanfic although I have never read the fanfic in question. It was rec'd to me after I searched for a dystopic/gritty fanfic on a Livejournal community. The premise involve space colonies, one of which is a veritable slum, a former child war hero who has fallen into crime and the former partner who has been sent to work with him for a mission.
Seen the anime in question* -_- I would love an edit option.
I have to recommend "In his care", even if it may scare readers because it is veeery long. But I love it, and I think is the best MM fanfic I have ever read.
People need to add fandoms and links for these, else I'll never be able to find anything!
