That's great, nospin. I'm excited to read this one, as I've heard some great things about it. Steampunk is not something I'm that familiar with, so it will be good to have some company.
I've already read it, and am too busy to read it again, but I look forward to chatting about it!

I have started this and am at 38% reading through both or either kindle/Audible.
It is a humorous read which I think you will enjoy.
I just got the book from the library and I'm already at 25%. How did that happen? Must be the great writing and the interesting story.

I'm doing a Master Post on my blog and I'll discuss here with anyone who's interested.
It really is a good book and I love the descriptive imagery the author uses.

"A gaggle of dandified young men passed by. All were decked to the height of fashion: three-buttoned swallowtails instead of frock coats, knotted silk cravats, and high collars."

"A gaggle of dandified young men"

I love this, too!
"The long curling yellow ostrich feather swished back and forth like the tail of an angry cat—the motion of
her disapproval. Only Ivy, thought Alexia, could emit censure in such a sunny and fluffy manner."

Hahahaha!!!! I laughed at that portion, too. Such lovely descriptive writing. I'm going to use it in my final Soulless post.

I am honored! :)
I liked this one, which was fun. The sequel not quite as much.

Too bad the sequel isn't as much fun. :(

I was afraid of that!
It is rather disappointing when I find a story I like and I want to spend more time with the characters, and the second book doesn't live up to the first.

I suppose though it is harder than I think keeping characters and a world alive, and the second book especially seems to difficult for authors to write, like they use all their best stuff in the first and write the second one before they are really ready too. Of course I might just be full of hot air too?
Part of it may have been that I read both books fairly close to each other in time, and it just may have been an overload.
Need help?
