Is there any way to make it so that if you add a book to shelves through the book page when you mark it as currently reading, read or planning to read that those shelves automatically transfer over to tags on a post if you click "create a post" through the book page?
I have a lot of shelves and since there isn't a search button on the shelves itself to make it easier to just click the shelf I want, I have to continue scrolling to find the shelves when I'm marking a book as read or currently reading. THEN I have to tag it on the post the exact same shelves I just spent a few minutes clicking when I create a post regarding that book.
Is there anyway to make it an option to transfer the shelves for the book to the tags for a post? Or have it so where if you go through a book's page and you've added shelves to the book then they automatically will show up on the post? Mostly, I just write reviews for the posts but I'd like for the same shelves that I categorize the book under to be the tags I have for the post but since there is so many (I'm a shelf crazy) I usually just bypass it because I hate repeating the process again but I REALLY want the tags to show up on the post AND my own shelves. Help?
I hope I make sense here :(
I would find this very useful as well. I too use pretty much all of my shelves as tags in my posts.
I agree, it would be great to have this option. This should probably be cross-posted in the "Feature Request" thread, though.
(ETA: Cross-posted a link to this thread.)
Good news. We're working on it :) Then if you write a review through your shelf (click book on shelf, choose create a post), the thematic shelves will be changed into tags in your post/review. Best. K.
Woohee! Did I say "you guys rock" lately? :) Thank you!
Also thank you for the super-fast response time ...

Will it only be possible to do this from the shelf page or will it work from the book pop-up window as well? I don't see why it shouldn't but I just wanted to clear that up...

The feature should work with any book that is shelved on your Shelf.
