Discussion of the Fritz Kiersch film.
It's easy to hate this movie, but I don't. Not that I think it's great or anything. It's okay. It's flawed on so many levels, yet I'd rather watch this than, say, Pet Semetary. But it's a competent horror-thriller, which I guess is what I like most about it. What's best about it is the first couple of scenes with Hamilton and Horton, when it looks like some characterization might actually get horned into a horror film, but that doesn't last long. After that...well, like I say, it's competent. And that's more than can be said of an awful lot of horror movies.
